About us

Pantnagar Museum at IDP-NAHEP Building is a befitting monument preserving the history of the unique land of Pantnagar right from its day of inception. It is the first-ever museum of G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar the country's first agricultural university. Inaugurated on November 22, 2021, in the presence of Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh, Hon'ble Governor of Uttarakhand and the Chancellor of the University, the museum showcases an archive of important documents, historic photographs and prestigious artifacts related to the University.

The museum is open to the public on weekdays (morning and evening shift) and University students give their time and efforts to run it smoothly. It is also a part of the orientation programme of the first-year students of different colleges of the University to make them understand the history and glory of Pantnagar, eulogized as the Harbinger of Green Revolution by Nobel laureate Dr. Norman E. Borluag.
