The Department was established in 1984 after trifurcation of the Electrical Engineering Department. The Department runs B. Tech., M. Tech., and Ph.D. programmes in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
The course curriculum covers both traditional and recent concepts. The Department imparts training in diversified fields and it encompasses the area of Electronics and Communication systems. The theoretical knowledge is further supplemented with well-equipped laboratories like Electronics Laboratory, Electronic Devices Laboratory, Microprocessor Laboratory, Communication Laboratory, Optical Fiber Laboratory and Digital Signal Processing Laboratory. The courses curriculum of the Department is regularly updated at time to time and the latest upcoming subjects are added to give knowledge of new fields developing.

New Post Graduate Research Lab Developed during the year 2021. The Laboratory is mainly utilized for research lab purpose which is highly beneficial to research scholars & PG students. Remote Access facilities is also allowed for students in this lab.

Electrospark 2026 was a vibrant and engaging talent hunt event organised by ELECTRONIKA, the branch chapter of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The event was conceptualised as an informal cultural platform exclusively for ECE students, aimed at encouraging self-expression, confidence building, and creative exploration among students. Designed as a celebration of talent rather than competition, Electrospark 2026 provided a welcoming stage for students to showcase their skills in dance, music, drama, rap, comedy, and other performing arts. The event successfully fostered a sense of belonging, interaction, and enthusiasm within the ECE fraternity.

The heart of Electrospark 2026 lay in its well-structured and energetic lineup of performances. Students from different years took the stage, delivering captivating acts that kept the audience engaged throughout.









Following the performances, Dr. Sanjay Mathur Sir addressed the gathering with an inspiring and heartfelt speech. He shared valuable insights from his academic and professional journey, presenting his experiences in the form of poetry. His words resonated deeply with the students, motivating them to pursue their passions alongside academic excellence.
Subsequently, Ms. Rita Verma Ma’am shared thoughtful guidance and encouraging insights, emphasising personal growth, discipline, and the importance of participating in cultural and co-curricular activities for holistic development.
Dr. Paras Sir also addressed the gathering briefly, appreciating the students for organising the event in such a well-structured and disciplined manner. He highlighted the excellent coordination among students of different academic years and commended the ELECTRONIKA team for their teamwork and leadership.
Both addresses added depth and meaning to the event, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
Electrospark 2026 was a resounding success. The event strengthened bonds among students, boosted confidence, and provided a joyful platform for creative expression. HUMAN CHESS AND ESCAPE ROOM: Total 4 teams ( 64 participants)participated in this contest having 16 members. Each named Team A,B,C and D. In the first round Team A qualified for finals and in second round Team C qualified for the finals. Team A won the final round of Human Chess and qualified to play for the next event
