Electrospark 2026 was a vibrant and engaging talent hunt event organised by ELECTRONIKA, the branch chapter of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The event was conceptualised as an informal cultural platform exclusively for ECE students, aimed at encouraging self-expression, confidence building, and creative exploration among students. Designed as a celebration of talent rather than competition, Electrospark 2026 provided a welcoming stage for students to showcase their skills in dance, music, drama, rap, comedy, and other performing arts. The event successfully fostered a sense of belonging, interaction, and enthusiasm within the ECE fraternity.

The event was graced by the presence of respected faculty members from the ECE Department:

The heart of Electrospark 2026 lay in its well-structured and energetic lineup of performances. Students from different years took the stage, delivering captivating acts that kept the audience engaged throughout.

Following the performances, Dr. Sanjay Mathur Sir addressed the gathering with an inspiring and heartfelt speech. He shared valuable insights from his academic and professional journey, presenting his experiences in the form of poetry. His words resonated deeply with the students, motivating them to pursue their passions alongside academic excellence.

Subsequently, Ms. Rita Verma Ma’am shared thoughtful guidance and encouraging insights, emphasising personal growth, discipline, and the importance of participating in cultural and co-curricular activities for holistic development.

Dr. Paras Sir also addressed the gathering briefly, appreciating the students for organising the event in such a well-structured and disciplined manner. He highlighted the excellent coordination among students of different academic years and commended the ELECTRONIKA team for their teamwork and leadership.

Both addresses added depth and meaning to the event, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

Electrospark 2026 was a resounding success. The event strengthened bonds among students, boosted confidence, and provided a joyful platform for creative expression. The enthusiastic participation, positive feedback from faculty, and overwhelming response from students reaffirmed ELECTRONIKA’s commitment to nurturing talent and community spirit within the ECE department.

HUMAN CHESS AND ESCAPE ROOM: Total 4 teams ( 64 participants)participated in this contest having 16 members. Each named Team A,B,C and D. In the first round Team A qualified for finals and in second round Team C qualified for the finals. Team A won the final round of Human Chess and qualified to play for the next event

Branch chapter organized Know Your Seniors’ Success Stories focused on strengthening the bond of alumni with its alma mater.

• Mr.Ashutosh Saini,an alumni and also gold-medallist of batch 2003 of College of Technology,Govind Ballabh Pant College of Agriculture and Technology and present-day working in Fidelity with his life companion Dr.Veenapani Sharma ,an alumni of College of Veterinary Sciences, Govind Ballabh Pant College of Agriculture and presently working as Program Manager,Amazon ( 03.012.2020)
• The keynote speaker, Mr. Nidhish Kumar, an alumni of College of Technology, G.B.Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, and present-day Co-founder at CFA,Praesideo, had joined from Switzerland schedule in order to connect with and guide the present generation.(8.12.2020)
• Mrs. Rachna Arya, an alumni of College of Technology, G.B.Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, and present-day project leader at Microsoft had joined us with her husband, taking out valuable time from her busy schedule to guide the present generation with her experience.(21.05.2022)
• On May25th, the Branch Chapter of Electronics and Communication Engineering, ELECTRONIKA, organized an expert lecture on ‘INTRODUCTION TO ALGORITHMS AND COMPUTATIONS’. This informative session helped the students understand the fundamentals of algorithms and their importance for the future ahead. Students were open to ask their queries related to the topic and were able to discuss them with Dr. Shree Prakash Dwivedi our expect for this lecture.
• The keynote speaker, Mr. Sameer Saurabh, an alumni of College of Technology, G.B.Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, and present-day working as Project Manager, Data Science at Grail Insights, had joined in order to connect with and guide the budding engineers.(4.06.2022)

• On December 17th, 2022, the branch chapters of Electronika and Electroglint, affiliated with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and the Department of Electrical Engineering respectively, at the College of Technology, Pantnagar, organized a highly successful event called "Innovision - The Innovative Idea Contest." The contest was aimed at undergraduate students from Pantnagar University, welcoming participants from all streams and colleges, and it garnered significant attention from both students and professors
• Dr. Sanjay Mathur, Professor & Head organized a one-day workshop on industry academia interaction gap diagnosis . The workshop was jointly organized by IE(I), PLC and College of Technology, Pantnagar on 15/02/2020. The initiative for conducting this workshop was taken by Prof. Sanjay Mathur , Chairman, IEI Pantnagar Local Center. The workshop was attended by around 55 participants from industries representing Ashok Leyland, Mahindra, Minda Corp., Yazaki India, Brakesh India, Tata Auto Comp, Taco, JBM, Roquette India and academicians from institutes CoT Pantnagar, BTKIT Dwarahat, APJAKIT Tanakpur, Amrapali Institute, Haldwani and Graphic Era University Bhimtal, FET MJPRU Bareilly
• Dr. Sanjay Mathur, Professor & Head organized a carrier counseling webinar on 19.06.2020 for the UG and PG students of college of technology in association with People Labs, Noida . The session was entitled “Road Ahead: Paved with Opportunities.” The session was organized to apprise the students with a focused analysis of the emerging situation and provide personalized attention to their worries due to the uncertainty looming in the present pandemic crisis. Many faculty members also attended the session so that they can too, analyze the situation and help their students accordingly
• Dr. Abhishek Tomar and Dr. Mayur Agarwal as Coordinator organized a STC on Latest Trends in VLSI Design and hands on implementation using EDA Tools during Nov.04-09, 2019 at CoT, Pantnagar

• (a) Dr. Sanjay Mathur, Professor & Head organized a one-day workshop on industry academia interaction gap diagnosis. • (c) The department branch chapter ELECTRONIKA organizes an event Know Your Senior’s Success Stories, acronymically known as KYSSS on regular basis. This signature event involves inviting department honorable alumni for briefing the students on their career voyage to provide students with a relatable and motivational experience.
• (d) The keynote speaker Shri K. Narayanan, Director, National Informatics Center,Uttarakhand, State Informatics Officer addressed the students and faculty on 25.11.2022. Briefing more on the techno-aspects, he enlightened technology keeps on changing with time, so one should try to acknowledge and accept it and move with it.

• Establishment of the GBPUAT–NextIC Deep-Tech Incubation Center at the College of Technology, Pantnagar, creating a dedicated ecosystem for semiconductor design, training, and innovation.
• Successful operationalization of the incubation center with compute infrastructure, EDA environment, and hands-on VLSI training facilities.
