Salient Achievements at LPM Department:
- A new dual purpose goat breed “PANTJA” identified, improved and registered (Accession No. INDIA_GOAT_2420_PANTJA_06024).
- A new breed of Chicken ‘UTTARA’ identified and improved and its registration is under process.
- ‘KIDS’ CRADLE’ was developed to improve kids health and protection from predators as well as to reduce dependence on labour for supervision.
- A total of 60 Masters and 12 Ph.D. scholars completed their degree during 2000 to 2016. At present 13 Masters and 6 Ph.D. students are studying.
